According to the Saturday, December 24th New York newspaper, my friend Peter Franklin, the New York City Cab AND GAB driver transported Santa Claus around the world Christmas Eve, stopping in 171 countries overnight. I guess Santa used Pete because of some kind of labor dispute with his elves. Who would have thought! The Gab Man will be joining me this afternoon (Monday) at 4:35 on the Puffman Show. I wouldn't necessarily believe a True Tale like this one, but it's in the paper, so it's gotta' be TRUE! Pete will also explain the significance of the Pet Clark song, "Don't Sleep in the Subway" on this afternoon's radio broadcast, not to mention the Rolex watch/Brooklyn deli dispute. I was planning on a pastrami sandwich for lunch today but I might make it a Rolex watch. Pete always does seem to have "the story behind the story" and he claims that even today, there are still some 46,000 U.S. Army soldiers, sailors and air force people, diplomats, contractors and security personnel remaining in Iraq. Someone better tell My-Man-Obama...I'm not sure he's aware of this. Peter Franklin is as big, bold, and brave as the Big Apple itself and I'm looking forward to his broadcast. What I'm not looking forward to is being insulted but that's okay, because I'm The Puffman...
