Potential Brownfield Sites

The meetings continue today (Wednesday) concerning the recently awarded Montana Department Of Natural Resources Planning Grant to inventory Brownfield sites in our area. A "Brownfield" is a property whose expansion, redevelopment, or reuse is complicated by the presence OR potential presence of an environmental pollutant or contaminant. Sweetgrass Development Corporation was recently awarded this planning grant. There are meetings today at noon at the Cut Bank Chamber in the chamber office, at 1 o'clock there's a public meeting in the chamber office & down in Fairfield, the Fairfield City Council will meet in the Fairfield Town Hall. I'm always fearful that my work desk will be declared a Brownfield site!
