The Toole County Extension Office will be offering a food safety training on June 26th at the Marias River Electric Conference room starting at 1 pm. This class is geared toward local food service employees and non-profit groups who provide meals for the public. Please pre-register for the training by contacting the Extension Office at 424-8350.

Participants will receive 4 hours of food safety training. The training will include an exam. Participants who receive a passing score on the exam will be given a Food Handlers card that will be valid for two years.

The training will cover the basics of Safe Food Handling for Food Service focusing on four key principles of: controlling time and temperature when handling food, proper personal hygiene, cross-contamination, and cleaning and sanitization.
