Waiting on election results

We are waiting for election results that are expected to be in very soon. I'm hoping to have results from the Mayor's race in Conrad and Valier and also City Council races that are contested in Choteau and Valier.  We also hear that there might be a surprise top vote-getter in the Dutton Mayor's race where there really isn't a race but an undeclared write-in candidate may have a majority number of votes.   Stay tuned.

While we're waiting, the AP reported tonight that State Senator and Blackfeet Tribal leader Shannon Augare does not intend to put the court to trial if a judge does not dismiss federal charges against him.

Augare's attorney Joe McKay said in a court filing Tuesday that Augare

will change his plea if U.S. Magistrate Keith Strong rejects a request to dismiss the case.
