I just got back to the Puffman Blog Desk...I was out attending the monthly meeting of the Center for Mental Health Advisory Board. We meet once a month with three months off for the summer and the meeting is never more than an hour in length. We are always looking for new people who would like to join our advisory board. At present, we're meeting the 3rd Tuesday of the month at noon at Ringside Ribs here in Shelby. I've been on the board for a number of years and it has been a good and worthwhile experience for me. These are tough and difficult times for many and with times like these, there are always more challenges than ever. My being on the board has opened my eyes to things I was never aware of or even thought about before. What I'm trying to say is, on a personal level this has been a positive experience for me and I will continue to serve as long as they'll have me. I would strongly encourage anyone who can devote an hour a month for 9 months out of the year, to contact Lloyal Kennedy or Tun McCracken at the Center for Mental Health. They're enjoying their new location at (925 Oilfield Avenue, the old Buzybees Daycare, in the same building as Rock Svennungsen) and their phone number is 434 52-85. We'd sure like to welcome you to our advisory board. I feel it would be good for you and our community.
