What Exactly IS Rabies

Rabies is a viral infection that infects the brain & spine. Rabies is almost always FATAL unless treated BEFORE symptoms appear. Rabies is caused by a virus & is found in infected, warm-blooded animals. Animals that commonly carry rabies include bats, raccoons, skunks, foxes, & coyotes. These critters sound exactly like the kind of varmints that my friend, Jim Anderson down at Grizzly Sports in Choteau ,likes to shoot! I think it’s a good thing that greenie liberals aren’t included in this group!  Rabies is always a potential concern in our pets & tonight (Wednesday) & again tomorrow evening (Thursday), the Conrad Veterinary Clinic will be holding a rabies vaccination clinic. This vaccination clinic will be held both nights from 7 until 9, which is great for those of us who work during the day. City licenses will also be available both evenings in Conrad at the rabies vaccination clinic. Hats off to the Conrad Veterinary Clinic for providing this worthwhile service here in the Golden Triangle.
