What is the Best Way to Propose?

So what is the best way to propose? Does it really matter how it is done...or is the answer to the question the most important part? Is Disney Land the only way to get engaged or is it just as romantic on a random street corner. 

 I guess it is all about preference....do you need to have an "engagement story" to share with your friends and family? My story could have been fantastic if I wouldn't have been being awful to my now husband for the entire day before he proposed.  Yet, he should have known...I don't like to exercise so why would you take me on a hike? Who out there has a great engagement story...or even a fantasy of your future engagement? Please share....
