Will Ferrell and Nick Offerman Booze It Up In Bathrobes on ‘Today’

Ferrell Offerman

Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb don’t usually get big names to stick around for ‘Today’s’ boozy fourth hour segment, but they snagged a couple major stars Tuesday in Will Ferrell and Nick Offerman, aka Ron Swanson from ‘Parks and Recreation.’

The pair were wearing bathrobes because that’s just how they roll, and continued ‘Today’s’ fourth hour tradition of alcohol consumption by imbibing Bloody Marys.

Ferrell and Offerman were there to discuss their new movie ‘Casa De Mi Padre,’ which is in the style of a Mexican telenovela. Ferrell said he always wanted to star in a Spanish-language movie, even though he doesn’t speak the language. (Though he does sing beautifully in Spanish.) While he attempted to learn using Rosetta Stone, that only lasted a day, so he ended up having to remember his lines by concentrating really hard– which he said made him the “boring guy” on set. (A characterization that Offerman quickly agreed with.)

Since it was Kathie Lee and Hoda they, of course, wanted to know about a sex scene in ‘Casa De Mi Padre’ that Ferrell shot with newcomer Genesis Rodriguez. Ferrell revealed that it involved a mannequin and lots of, uh, derriere shots. If that doesn’t turn you off to the movie, you can watch a trailer below.
