Choteau is gearing up for the annual “Let Freedom Run” 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk set for July 4 in Choteau, starting and finishing at the Choteau City Park on the banks of Spring Creek.

Event Start and Race Day Registration: registration starts from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. on the northwest corner of the Choteau City Park, 204 First St. S.E. The race start times are 8 a.m. sharp for the 5K and 8:10 a.m. for the 1-mile fun run.

This year’s race is organized by Grizzly Activity Inc., a Choteau running group, in partnership with a major sponsor, the Healthy Teton County Coalition, a group of public health and private sector members who are working to promote healthy activities for people of all ages in the county.

Pre-registration is open through June 25, and all those who enter by June 25 are guaranteed a race T-shirt. Race day registrants are not guaranteed a T-shirt. On race day, T-shirts will be available only in limited numbers and size. To register in advance, entrants can pick up a form at the Choteau Acantha or the Stage Stop Inn, fill it out and mail it to Grizzly Activity Inc., in care of Barb Bouma, P.O. Box 248, Choteau, MT 59422 before June 25. (Checks should be made payable to Grizzly Activity Inc.)
