Shooting for the film Rust, featuring Alec Baldwin, has now wrapped up in Montana's Paradise Valley.  Michelle Pollino covers Hollywood for Fox News Radio and had the news Wednesday morning:

Michelle Pollino: Production stopped on the film in October of 2021 when cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot on set. The movie, which was initially shooting in New Mexico, moved to finish the shoot in Montana. He (Baldwin) wrote, 'It's been a long and difficult road, but we reached the end of the trail today.' He ended the post stating, 'Nothing less than a miracle.' Earlier this year, special prosecutors dismissed criminal charges against the actor. However, he still faces several lawsuits, including one from Hutchins' mother, father and sister.

Why did charges get dropped against Alec Baldwin? That is a question many people are asking. Why did charges get filed in the first place? You may recall back in January we were at the SHOT Show down in Las Vegas and got expert insight on the case, shortly after charges were first announced.

Here's what national conservative talk show host Dana Loesch had to say back in January of 2023.

Dana Loesch: If he (Baldwin) wasn't so anti gun, and he didn't have his head up his backside and be so purposefully, willfully ignorant, and maybe he educated himself...then maybe, just maybe, he would have been able to spot the unsafe practices on set that caused a lot of the crew to walk off prior. Maybe he would have been able to shut down some of this before this happened. That's where ignorance gets you- it gets people killed.

We also caught up with Gun Talk radio host Tom Gresham at the time as well. He made a good point as well that Baldwin wasn't just an actor pulling the trigger- he was in a leadership position and procedures and everything broke down.
