KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week both had huge scoring nights breaking individual season and career highs.

On Sr. night in Cut Bank, it was a sophomore that took over the show!  Jaydas Running Wolf hit two- 3-point shots before you could blink and ended up landing 5 of them before the night was over. He also hit plenty of 2-point shots, made a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line and ended the night with 33.

Running Wolf picked a perfect night to get hot as Cut Bank’s other leading scorer Tate Monroe was injured on Friday night and did not play.  Running Wolf was also Cut Bank’s leading scorer with 23 in a double overtime win against Whitefish Friday night.  Head Coach, Jordan Running Wolf told the Pioneer Press, “he’s playing at another level lately and it’s a good time for him to catch fire."

In the Sat. night game, Running Wolf hit 8-9 shots in the 1st half and hit 75% for the game.

Our Female Athlete of the Week was also red-hot scoring 70-points in two conference games last week.  Unfortunately, Choteau lost both of those games, but they have certainly welcomed the return of Sr. standout Ada Bieler.   Bieler has taken over the Choteau scoring with 34 points on Thursday night against Shelby including 4-4 from the free throw line and 8-3’s.  She also had 8 rebounds and 1 steal in that game.   Bieler kept Choteau in the game against Cut Bank Sat. night with 36 of their 48 points which included 13-14 from the line and 3-3’s.

We also had a nomination this week for Cut Bank Sr. Wrestler, Bradin Murphy who made it to the Divisional Championship match with a huge victory over Dylan Miksell who he lost to several times during the season but came up with the win this time.

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week, Sr. Jaydas Running Wolf of Cut Bank and Sr. Ada Bieler of Choteau. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. McDonald’s honors our Athlete’s with two free value meals each.

KSEN encourage Coaches, parents and fans to nominate Athletes of the Week when you believe they have had an above average performance.
