(Fairfield) – KSEN/K96 – Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week nominations certainly dwindled as just two local teams continued play at the State Volleyball Tournament.  Our Congratulations to both the CJI Hawks and the Fairfield Eagles. Their qualification for the State Tournament was no simple task and both will remember a major accomplishment for the ’23 season.

Our Athlete of the Week was said to be “a major force in the back row for the Lady Eagles, all season long and certainly a key player in the 1B District and Northern B Division Championships.  Fairfield Head Coach Kari Schubarth says she was really a big part of making history in Fairfield this year!

At the State Tournament, 5’5” Sr. Emma Schenk recorded 74 digs in just two matches.  She was described as a “true leader” and had to endure playing most of the time with a bruised hand.

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Sr. Emma Schenk of Fairfield. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. McDonald’s honors our Athletes with two free value meals.

KSEN encourages all coaches, fans, students, and parents to nominate an Athlete of the Week when you feel, they have had an outstanding and above-average performance.  E-mail markdaniels@townsquaremedia.com.
