THERE WERE PLENTY OF INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES AND OVERALL TOURNAMENT PERFORMANCES THAT WOULD QUALIFY FOR BOZEMAN TROPHY “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONORS, BUT ONCE WE BROKE IT ALL DOWN WE DECIDED THE HONOR SHOULD GO TO SHELBY SOPHOMORE LOGAN LECK.

LECK AND HIS TEAMMATES SURPRISED A LOT OF OPPONENTS AND FANS WHEN THEY CAUGHT FIRE FRI. AFTERNOON IN A LOSER-OUT GAME AGAINST GLASGOW AND THEN PULLED OFF TWO AMAZING VICTORIES OVER WOLF POINT AND CHOTEAU SAT. TO QUALIFY FOR THE STATE TOURNAMENT.

LECK AVERAGED OVER 14-POINTS PER GAME IN THE TOURNAMENT AND LED THE COYOTES WITH 17 IN THE ALL-IMPORTANT CHOTEAU GAME.  HE ALSO PULLED DOWN 8 REBOUNDS IN THAT GAME AND DISHED OUT 4 ASSISTS.

SHELBY HEAD COACH TOM REYNOLDS WAS ALSO IMPRESSED WITH THE PLAY OF HIS 6-4 POINT GUARD.
