KSEN/K96—BOZEMAN TROPHY ATHLETE’S OF THE WEEK JUST KEEP ON WINNING LITERALLY EVERY TIME THEY STEP UP TO THE TEE OR ON TO THE STARTING BLOCK.

OUR FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK, SR. SPRINTER KAMDYN MOLENDA OF CUT BANK.  KAMDYN HAS WON THE 100M SPRINT IN 5 STRAIGHT MEETS THAT SHE HAS PARTICIPATED IN THIS SEASON AND IS ALSO PICKING UP CUT BANK POINTS IN SEVERAL OTHER EVENTS.

IN THE 100 MOST RECENTLY SHE WON THE EVENT AT THE PRE-EASTER MEET ON HER HOME TRACK AND ADDED A 2ND IN THE 200M, A 2ND IN THE TRIPLE JUMP AND A 5TH IN THE LONG JUMP.  SHE ALSO RAN ON THE LADY WOLVES 400M RELAY TEAM WHICH FINISHED 4TH.

PRIOR TO THE CUT BANK MEET, KAMDYN RAN A PERSONAL BEST 12.9 IN THE 100M AT THE HAVRE LIONS INVITATIONAL.  THAT WAS THE 8TH BEST TIME IN THAT VERY COMPETITIVE RACE IN THE STATE TO THIS POINT.  KAMDYN ALSO GETS THINGS DONE IN THE CLASSROOM WITH A 3.8 GPA.   SHE IS PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY AND STUDENT BODY VICE PRESIDENT.

OUR MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HAS ALSO DONE NOTHING BUT WIN.  CONRAD SOPHOMORE JAREK SHEPHERD FINISHED THE 2018 STATE GOLF TOURNAMENT IN A 3-WAY TIE FOR 10TH PLACE AS JUST A FRESHMAN.  THAT QUALIFIED FOR ALL-STATE STATUS COMING INTO THE NEW SEASON.

IN JUST HIS 1ST TOURNAMENT LAST WEEK AT CHOTEAU HE SHOT A 1-OVER PAR 72 TO WIN BY 6-STROKES OVER THE NEAREST COMPETITOR.   THE SCORE WAS EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE VERY WINDY & COLD CONDITIONS IN CHOTEAU THAT DAY..   WE’RE TOLD HE USED SOME VERY SOLID BALL-STRIKING SKILLS AND GREAT CHIPPING AND PUTTING TO SCORE LOW.

JAREK ALSO CAME BACK WITH HIS 2ND WIN TUESDAY WITH A 41 IN THE 9-HOLE TOURNAMENT AT MARIAS VALLEY IN SHELBY.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR KSEN/K96—BOZEMAN TROPHY ATHLETE’S OF THE WEEK, SR. KAMDYN MOLENDA OF CUT BANK AND SOPHOMORE JAREK SHEPHERD OF CONRAD.  THE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK IS SPONSORED LOCALLY BY McDONALD’S IN CUT BANK.   McDONALD’S HONORS OUR ATHLETE’S WITH TWO FREE VALUE MEALS EACH.
