OUR KSEN/ K96—BOZEMAN TROPHY ATHLETE OF THE WEEK WAS OUTSTANDING IN ARGUABLY THE BIGGEST HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME OF THE WEEK IN THE LOCAL AREA.

POWER/DUTTON/BRADY JR. SPENCER LEHNERZ ANSWERED THE CALL NEARLY EVERY TIME SUNBURST SNUCK UP FROM BEHIND. HE SET THE TONE WITH HIS 1ST TD RUN IN THE FIRST QUARTER AND THEN PICKED UP HIS 1ST TD RECEPTION AFTER THE REFINERS SCORED AND GOT WITHIN TWO.

HIS 3RD TD WAS NEARLY A BACK BREAKER WHEN HE PICKED OFF A CADE HANSON PASS AND RETURNED IT 30 YARDS FOR A TOUCHDOWN. LEHNERZ CAPPED OFF THE WIN WITH A 14 YD TD RUN IN THE 4TH QUARTER.

TITANS HEAD COACH TOM TRANMER SAID LEHNERZ HAD A REALLY GOOD YEAR AS A SOPHOMORE AND NOW HE’S JUST GOTTEN BETTER. HE WAS ALSO KEY ON DEFENSE WITH 16 TACKLES, MOST OF THEM IN THE OPEN FIELD. THE COACH ADDED THAT HE’S NOT THE FASTEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM BUT HIS INSTINCT JUST GETS HIM THERE AND THEN HE GOES LOW AND MAKES THE STOP.

THE GAME MOST LIKELY WILL GIVE POWER/DUTTON/BRADY 2ND PLACE IN THE NORTHERN 6-MAN DIVISION, AND HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE IN THE 1ST ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS.
