Athlete of the Week
LOCAL SPORTS – “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
(Undated) – The performance was Described to us as an “incredible effort,” on offense, defense and special teams, and for that effort, Valier Jr. Cam Stoltz is our KSEN/K96 – Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week.
The Panthers picked up a hard fought 20-12 win over North Star and Head Coach John Briggs says some of Stoltz plays were game changers. He described one in the 3rd quarter where Stoltz from his middle linebacker spot somehow got by 3 blockers, tackled the ball carrier and created a fumble that led to a Valier score.
He was also heavily involved in the scoring, catching the Panthers 1st TD reception on a throw from Tyler Vandenbos. He also threw the game clinching TD pass to Joe Ramos with just 26-seconds left to play. The Panthers led 13-12 at the time but that took away any chance that N. Star may have had left.
There were other top-notch performances in the game, like from Ramos who was also nominated after two TD Catches.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Jr. Cam Stoltz of Valier. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. McDonald’s honors our athlete’s with two free value meals.
