Athlete of the Week
(Choteau) – Despite a loss, our KSEN/k96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week had a strong game for the Choteau Bulldogs and in fact has had 4 strong games in a row.
Sr. running back Jeff Colesworthy was a workhorse for the Bulldogs in a 44-34 loss to Charlo, a game they picked up after Great Falls Central cancelled due to contact tracing for Covid-19.
Colesworthy was given the ball 23 times and carried it for 277 yards with 3 Touchdowns. He got Choteau on the board early in the game with a breakaway 65-yard run. Two Touchdowns later were from 4 yards out, each.
In Choteau’s first 4 games, Colesworthy has now gotten across the goal line 6 times on the run and has 2 TD pass receptions.
The Sr. is also a solid tackler on defense and Head Coach Lucas Gunderson pointed out that he had a number of tackles and a solid performance on defense as well.
Congratulations to our KSEN/k96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Sr. Jeff Colesworth of Choteau. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. McDonald’s honors our Athlete’s with two free value meals.
As always we encourage parents, coaches & fans to nominate individuals for the Athlete of the Week award when you feel they have had an extraordinary performance. E-mail markdaniels@townsquaremedia.com
