Body Found at Lake Frances Campground
(CONRAD) – The Pondera County Sheriff has confirmed that a body was foudn at teh Lake Frances campground on Tuesday, April 26th.
Sheriff Carl Suta says the man had been released from Benefis Hospital earlier in the day and was believed to have died from complications from a surgery. Suta said the doctors believe it was from pulmonary embelism.
The man was identified as 56-year old Jeffery Slesar. He was on his way back to his home in Fortune in western Montana and apparently stopped at the campground.
His body may have been at teh lake for several hours before it was found face down in a mud puddle just before 7pm that night.
No foul play is suspected.
