I just finished reading Ex-MSU coach Joe Obrien's sobering life story, "Busted Bronco: From Addition to Redemption" and it truly was a page turner. I think I read it in two days and it actually is "one of those books you don't WANT to put down. Joe is going to join me on the Puffman Show this Friday afternoon at 4:35 and I'm more than anxious to have him on my program. Joe's the guy
Legendary football coach to be discussed on Puffman Show
Most of you know that my middle name is "sports" and I'll be adding to that legend this afternoon (Friday) at 4:35PM when I talk with John Greenburg. Greenburg probably knows as much or more about sports as I do as he already written several book on legendary college football teams and hall of fame coaches...

He’s a busted bronco
I don't know how many of you read the cover story in this Tuesday's Great Falls Tribune but it caught my attention. It was headlined "Convicted felon seeks redemption" and it was a lengthy article about former Montana State football assistant coach Joe O'Brien. I recall reading the Associated Press news article on the air back in 2003 when O'Brien was nabbed by a swarm of cops down in To
Knock me over with a feather
You could have knocked me over with a feather this morning when I reported for duty at our KSEN/K 96 studios. I perused our weekend sports schedule and noted that our sports play-by-play man was going to...I thought...COLORADO(!) for a football play-by-play broadcast this evening...

I can't believe how fast this summer has come and ALMOST gone! This evening marks our first high school football game of the year and to me, the fall season brings football, cool evenings, and the wonderful smell of a bonfire in the background...

University of New Mexico football player Deshon Marman’s trip to San Francisco was already sad enough before police got involved. Marman, who was in the city to attend the funeral of a high school friend, was arrested at San Francisco International Airport Wednesday after he refused to pull up his saggy pants while on a plane heading to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

USC Stripped of 2004 National Football Championship
The University of Southern California has been part of some amazing history in the annals of college football, but its most recent accomplishment is nothing to be proud of. The school has been stripped of its 2004 national championship, the Bowl Championship Series announced Monday, in a move directly tied to star running back Reggie Bush playing while ineligible.

It's all in Dr. Mardy Grothe's new book, "Neverisms, A quotation lover's guide to things you should never do, never say, or never forget" and Dr. Grothe is going to be my guest this afternoon (Monday) at 4:35 on the Puffman Show. Box Office Report: Russell Brand Beats Russell Brand
The weekend box office brought good news and bad news for comedian Russell Brand. The good news: Brand's live-action/animated comedy 'Hop' took the top spot for the second weekend in a row, with $21.7 million. That marks a 42 percent drop from last weekend, bringing the film's grand total to $68.2 million thus far. Unfortunately, Brand's other movie, 'Arthur,' a remake of the Oscar-winning '80s co

UConn Beats Butler 53-41 in Sloppy NCAA Title Game
The NCAA title game can be summed up in one word:  Ugly. How ugly? The combined 95 points between UConn and Butler shattered the previous combined low in a shot-clock-era title game by a whopping 26 points. Butler didn't hit their second two point shot until 12:32 mark in the second half, and ended the game shooting an inconceivably bad 12 for 64...

I realize that not everyone is a sports fan but I think when March Madness comes around, it's like the World Series...we all get our interest peaked in seeing who goes home with all the marbles.

Virginia Commonwealth University’s storybook run from play-in game to Final Four ended Saturday night, as Butler will be crashing the NCAA’s title game for the second year in a row. Shelvin Mack paced the Bulldogs with 24 points on five for six three-point shooting, and Butler downed VCU 70-62 in a hard fought battle that was closer than its final score...
