Leila Lopes of Angola took the Miss Universe crown Monday night, making her the first-ever winner from the African nation. Olesia Stefanko of Ukraine came in second, and Priscila Machado of Brazil, which hosted the event, took third.  Miss USA Alyssa Campanella didn’t crack the top 10.

Oklahoma on Sunday became the first team ever to be ranked #1 in the AP football poll 100 times. The Sooners were ranked #1 for the first time in 1954, the second year of Oklahoma’s NCAA-record 47-game winning streak, which lasted from 1953-1957. On Monday, Bank of America announced that part of its plan to cut $5 billion in spending by 2014 includes the elimination of 30,000 jobs.
