The cattle guys will be wearing their masks tonight (Tuesday) as we continue to read & share more Montana History at the Heritage Center. We'll be commencing chapter 7, in our current read, "Slaughter on the Otter." This is the "story-behind-the-story" on the infamous Kendrick Sheep Raid in early day Montana & Wyoming. On an early morning back in December of 1900, a determined group of cattlemen led by a future Wyoming governor & U.S. senator destroyed a band of 2,113 head of sheep that had "invaded" their range. MAN! That's a lot of lamp chops. See you this evening at 6 o'clock SHARP for Montana History up at the Marias Heritage Center. I would hope "mutton" is NOT on their Heritage Center supper menu tonight...
