CRITICAL Shortage Of Blood Exists

A critical shortage of blood exists in our country at present. Many of the "regular" donors are older & retired who themselves are dealing with health problems that do not allow them to donate. Chester, is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive this coming Tuesday, the 30th, at Our Savior's Church from 11:30, until 5:15. Here in Shelby, we'll have our Community Blood Drive, hosted by Logan Health, on NEXT Tuesday, January 7th, from 1 to 4, at the Logan Health-Shelby main conference room. Walk-ins are always welcome, but you can set your appointment ahead by visiting www.redcrossblood.org. The Red Cross always need volunteers to supply sandwiches & cookies for their blood drives. If your family or organization would like to volunteer, please contact Kathy Dean, at 279 3737, to make arrangements.
