Congressman Dennis Rehberg plans to visit areas of Montana affected by recent flood activity in southeast Montana on Friday, May 27th. Rehberg has offered his assistance to the Governor and is prepared to advocate for Montana should the Governor ask the President for a federal disaster declaration.
The following schedule is dependent on weather conditions and road closures.
2:00 PM: Meeting with Big Horn County Commissioners in Hardin
3:15 PM: Meeting with Chairman Black Eagle and Crow Agency Superintendent Vienna Stewart
5:30 PM: Tour damage to the Pryor Creek irrigation canal and meet with Dan Vogel, president of the Project Irrigation Association, Yellowstone County Commissioner John Ostlund and the state and federal agencies responsible for the cleanup. Rehberg will also meet with affected producers to assess the damage to their crops and their immediate needs.
