Our KSEN/K96 -- Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week was a champion at what many say is the toughest Wrestling Tournament in the State every year.
The CMR Holiday Invitational features 63 teams with hundreds of wrestlers and thousands of matches, but that didn't seem to faze Conrad Jr. Lucy Armstrong.  In the 155-pound division, Armstrong went 5-0 and only one of the matches was by decision. The other 4 were by pin in a total time of 4-minutes and 9-seconds. Conrad Assistant Coach Aaron Jones tells us that Lucy's top skill is her determination and her work ethic which makes her stand out in competition and in practice.  He added that a championship in the State's toughest tournament was a nice surprise for the team and for Lucy. Armstrong is undefeated for the season and ranked #1 in the state in the 155-pound weight class.
Local Female wrestlers fared well at the CMR with three local wrestlers winning championships.  They included Heyen Edwards of Browning at 170, Hayley Peterson of Simms at 110 and Stella Wahl of Cut Bank at 135.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96--Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, Jr. Lucy Armstrong of Conrad. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athlete's with two free value meals.
