According to District Clerk and Business Manager Scott Laird, the $92,500 levy is approximately 6.25 mills. In dollars, that means the owner of a home with a market value of $100,000 will pay an additional $9.88 in taxes if the levy is approved, or less than the price of a large take-out pizza.

There are six candidates and a high school levy election on the ballot this year. Running for two open seats on the board are incumbents Dean Berkram and Doug Ray, challengers Jasen Bronec, Wade Swenson, Jessica VanEpps and Theresa Pepion. The term is three years.

The $92,500 general fund levy for the maintenance and operation of the high school will also appear on the ballot. The election is set for May 3rd, absentee ballots will be available on April 13th.
