Our KSEN/K96 -- Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week continue to do amazing things in their field of competition.
The Coach of our female Athlete of the Week simply said, "she's having a great season."  And that was especially evident at the 10C District Track meet in Great Falls last week. Power/Dutton/Brady Fr. Emma Feldman, who attends school in Dutton, and at the District Track meet won 3 events and had a 3rd place which played a big role in helping the Titans to a 3rd place team finish, just one point behind 2nd. Emma picked up wins in the 200m, 400m and the 800m.  She captured a 3rd in the Long Jump, and she has already pre-qualified for State meet in the Triple Jump and the 400m dash.
We also had an impressive nomination for CJI Fr. Brooke Streit. Brooke's efforts helped the CJI girls' team to win the 10C District Championship.   Brooke was a winner in the 300 hurdles and the Triple Jump.   She had a second in the 800m and placed in the 400m and ran on the team's 400m relay team which also placed.
Our male Athlete of the Week almost seems to be popping out of the woodwork as the season hits its peak.   Choteau Jr. Kesston Thomas, wins his 2nd Athlete of the Week award in a row as his accomplishments became even more impressive. At the 1B District Track meet, Kesston again won his signature event...the javelin which for a time he had the best throw in the State All-Class.   He also showed off his speed which we hadn't seen before, winning the 100m dash.  He also had a 3rd in the 200m and won the Shot Put event.  Kesston also ran on the 2nd place Choteau 400 relay team.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96-- Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week, Fr. Emma Feldman of Power/Dutton/Brady, and Jr. Kesston Thomas of Choteau.  The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank. McDonald's honors our Athletes of the Week with two free value meals each.
