Flying....keeps me entertained....

When I was boarding my United Flight out of Tampa to Denver I over heard a gentleman say to his girlfriend "I am not an f* terrorist." She replied..."we made it through security, just let it go".  He continued to make comments that made me think...well maybe he was a terrorist! Then over the loud speaker they announce that the Homeland Security threat level had just been raised so if you see any suspicious activity or bags without an owner you must report it immediately.  That freaked me out a little bit! Turns out if he was a terrorist he didn't do a very good job because we made it in one piece.  When I say we made it in one piece, it is kind of a shock to me.  Not only was the suspected terrorist on my flight but as we were about to land the announcement came over the load speaker...."in case of a crash landing please leave your carry on items on the plane and exit in an orderly manor".  Well, I have flown my fair share of times....and I have never heard that! The lady next to me started saying the Hail Mary...that is when things got scary! As you know the plane landed fine, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this right now.

While waiting for my flight in Denver to go to Helena I was watching the little screen at all of the delays because of weather.  That darn announcer came on again and said the flight to Rock something Wyoming is delayed one hour...looking at the woman next to me roll her eyes I said "oh, is that your flight?" She responded "Yes"....she was interrupted by the gentleman on the load speaker continuing with...."the flight will take off in one hour but we can't guarantee that it will land, the runway is too icy for this size of plane, we will try to land the plane but if we can't we will bring you back to Denver." The woman said oh great....I may get to get on my flight...but they can't guarantee I will survive the landing." The gentleman came back on the loud speaker and said, "you can choose whether you would like to take this flight or wait until the morning." The woman said, "oh good, I get to choose whether I miss my meeting...or possible die!" She got on the plane...and as far as I know she is still alive.

Eventually I got on my flight to Helena with all twelve passengers....little tiny puddle jumper plane! The ride was rough and as we descended I could see the airport...I could see the  runway....we touched the ground...and we went back up! That is scary especially after that Rock place in Wyoming might not be able to land.  Well, we came back around and took another swing at it! It was a success....

My trip was fun and it outweighed the crazy things that happened on the plane...even though some items were stolen from my bag!  All in all it won't scare me away from flying.
