Glacier Adds Two to Park Leadership Team
West Glacier, MT. – Lauren Alley became Glacier National Park’s Management Assistant/Public Affairs Specialist in October, and Rita Causby has recently joined the park as the Safety Officer.
For the past year, Alley has worked for the park as a writer in the planning department. Prior to that, she was the Director of Communications for the Glacier National Park Conservancy, the Concessions Management Specialist at Death Valley National Park, and Public Affairs Specialist for Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Her first job out of college was as an elementary school teacher on the Navajo Reservation. She has a B.A. in Psychology from Wellesley College and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin.
Since 2010, Rita Causby has served as the Zone 8 Safety Manager for ten parks in northern New Mexico (Pecos National Historical Park, Fort Union National Monument, Bandelier National Monument, Valles Caldera National Preserve, Manhattan Project, Petroglyph National Monument, El Morro & El Malpais National Monuments, Salinas Pueblo Missions, and the Old Santa Fe Building). Causby now fills a similar role at Glacier National Park, overseeing the park’s safety program.
