I grew up in a small town, and honestly, I couldn't wait to get out of it. I just felt like I was missing out on things, and I was going to find them in a big city.
Today, I look back on my childhood in the small town and remember it fondly. I don’t know if it’s the tranquility, the slower pace, or simply that everyone knows everyone, but there's something unique about small-town living.
With so many small towns in Montana, how could anyone pick the best one? Well, HGTV attempted to, and while some might agree, others might say this place has lost its small-town charm in recent years.

When it comes to publications naming towns the "best" or "most charming," a lot of times Bozeman is the popular pick, but not this time, according to the HGTV website.
Nope, they say Whitefish is actually the best small town in Montana by stating:
National Geographic once named Whitefish, Montana, one of the "Top 25 Ski Towns in the World," but this small town on the shores of Whitefish Lake offers even more to do and see. Visitors come to snowboard, hike, boat, bike and enjoy live, professional theater and fine dining. For nature lovers, Glacier National Park is a short drive away.
