Pit Stop Tavern Closing After 14 Years

If you’ve driven up 15th Street toward Black Eagle over the past 14 years, you’ve probably spotted the Pit Stop Tavern sign.

After 14 years, though, the Pit Stop closed its doors on Valentine’s Day.

A Local Favorite With Delicious Food And Welcoming Vibes

I can’t even count how many times I’ve eaten there, and every single meal hit the mark. You never left hungry, and the food was always solid, especially their chicken.

But it wasn’t just the food or the cold drinks that kept people coming back all these years. Walking in felt like stepping into a family home, everyone was happy to see you, and the vibe was just right.

Here’s the good news: this closure doesn’t look permanent.

Hopeful News: Pit Stop Tavern Set To Reopen

Christa Heisler, who owns and runs the Pit Stop along with the Black Eagle Brewery, says new local owners will be taking over soon. She can’t share who they are yet but says they’re well-known in Montana.

As for changes, details are still being worked out. The bar and brewery will close under the new owners, however, the casino portion of the building will continue operating as they prep for the reopening.

So while we’ll miss the Pit Stop for a little while, it looks like this neighborhood favorite will be back in action in just a few months.
