Massive Retailer With 3 Montana Locations Files Bankruptcy
Shortly after announcing the closure of two Montana stores, the retail chain Big Lots has officially filed for bankruptcy.
The retailer operates roughly 1,400 stores nationwide and announced the closures of many of these stores before its recent bankruptcy filing.
Two of those store closures are found right here in Montana; Great Falls and Helena.
The fate of the Billings location is still up in the air.

Big Lots In Montana
If you're looking for some deals, the Big Lots locations in Great Falls and Helena are liquidating all of their inventory.
My wife and I stopped by the Great Falls location a few weeks ago, and it's a bit of a ghost town now.
Not much is left on the shelves or the showroom floor.

Remembering Big Lots
Growing up, I remember absolutely loving big lots!
The very first big lots location I ever visited was in Casper, Wyoming.
I spent some time in Casper during the summer visiting my aunt, and I remember a highlight of my visit was going to Big Lots.
I don't remember why I liked it so much; it was most likely because I could actually afford to purchase a few things with the money I made from mowing the lawns. haha
It's sad to see another retailer going out of business here in Montana.
