Florida Man Gored By Bison In Yellowstone National Park

All over the world it's being reported that a man was gored by a bison in Yellowstone Park. I'm using reporting from the National Park Service, CBS News and KULR 8.

The goring happened on May 4, 2025, just 17 days after the official beginning of tourist season. 17 days. Wow. Just wow.

The National Park Service Sent Out A News Release May 7, 2025

In the news release, The National Park Service reported:

"On May 4, 2025, a 47-year-old man from Cape Coral, Florida, was injured by a bison in Yellowstone National Park."

"At approximately 3:15 p.m. in the Lake Village area of the park, a man was gored by a bison after he approached it too closely. The individual sustained minor injuries and was treated by emergency medical personnel. The incident is currently under investigation, and no further details are available at this time."

This Is The First Touron Goring Of 2025 In Yellowstone

Florida guy was the first tourist to catch the wrath of a bison this year in the park. In 2024 there were 2 instances reported and just one instance in 2023.

Bottom Line: Wildlife Is Dangerous

Wildlife is called that because they are WILD animals. Always follow the advice of the park you are visiting for your safety and the safety of the animals in the park.
