Who doesn't love a good summer romance? Multitudes of books are written about summer love. Activities under the sun are delightful to share with someone you adore.

Camping is a favorite activity of Montanans. Of course it can be shared with a partner, but it is not always the most romantic of activities. There's nowhere to shower, cooking can be a bit difficult, and the bed is most certainly not memory foam.

Those facts alone could deter some couples from participating in this adventurous activity. Finding a beautiful, romantic place to go camping might help convince them. So, we compiled some of the most romantic places to camp in Montana.

Trip Advisor compiled a list of the best things to do as a couple in Montana. Lake McDonald was one of the top items on that list, and we couldn't agree more. Lake McDonald's beautiful, clear waters are a treat for anyone.

There are many campgrounds around the lake, take your pick and enjoy a romantic getaway. It is the perfect place for stargazing and spending one-on-one time together. If you choose to go for a dip, be prepared for cold water. It's Glacier National Park, after all.

The Dyrt Magazine asked 13 campers to share their favorite places to camp in Montana. Some of them are the perfect place for a couple to spend some quality time together.

Two Medicine Campground, also located in Glacier National Park, is a more secluded place to visit. It is in the southeast corner of the park and boasts great views of the mountains. It is a generator-free campground, so visitors enjoy a nice, quiet experience.

Another beautiful spot to visit is the Lake Como Campground in the Bitterroot National Forest. Campers enjoy a small beach surrounded by forest right on the gorgeous lake nestled in the mountains.

Hot springs are a huge draw in Montana, but there are always so many people at them. An option for couples that are looking to get away from the crowds is Norris Hot Springs, outside of Bozeman. It's not quite as well-known as places like Chico Hot Springs Resort.

Some couples might read through these options and still be a solid "no" on sleeping on the ground. Glamping is always an option, and our favorite choice for fancy camping will always be Paws Up Resort. Campers take their pick of camp sites, enjoy a bed, a spa session, or whatever their heart desires.
