Limited visibility due to smoke, fire near the road, fire fighting vehicles entering or near the road, a fire camp or ICP nearby, heavy equipment being transported, low flying aircraft...

These reasons and more can sometimes call for reduced speeds and temporary delays or even road closures on highways and roads around an incident. In our area you will encounter possible fire-related traffic and speed reductions on Highway 2 near West Glacier and in the North Fork.

As you head out for your weekend adventures, please remember to slow down, pay attention to all signs, including temporary speed limits and warnings about fire traffic, and watch for flaggers and other fire incident personnel on the road!
