(UNDATED) – KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete’s of the Week both are more than just scorers but play all phases of the game consistently.

Our female Athlete of the Week is described by her coach Kezia Allen as one of those “all-around players that every coach yearns to have.”  Sophomore Peyton Levine of Augusta is certainly getting the job done scoring but Coach Allen says she’s also “one of the toughest defenders in our league.”

Levine turned in a couple of huge games this past week, most notable with 24 points against Simms which led to the Lady Tigers 1st Conference loss of the season in a matchup of top teams in the 10C District.  In two other games, both wins, she had 17 against Sunburst and then 39 against the G.F Home School which Coach Allen says also suffered their first loss.

In those 3 games, Levine averaged 26 points a game, with 8-rebounds and 6-steals.  Levine is described as a “true competitor who wants to out work others in everything she does and is also a top ranked rodeo performer in her age group.

Our Male Athlete of the Week has a lot of similar characteristics, especially with the aspect of consistency in all phases of the game.  5’11” Browning Sophomore Maurice Redhorn 111m isn’t always the top scorerbut that is the nature of the Browning Team who has 5-6 players who can put up double figures on any given night.

With that said, Browning Head Coach Dan Connelly says Redhorn is a catalyst, very consistent with scoring, rebounding, assists and steals.  In Browning’s big win over Shelby he had 8 points, 8-assists, 8-rebounds and was 6-6 from the free throw line.

He did lead the Indians in scoring the next night against Whitefish with 14 points, 5-rebounds, 5-steals, and 3 assists.  Coach Connelly is pretty excited about the way his team is playing right now with their 9-3 record overall, and a 5-2 Conference record which puts them in 1st place..  One team that has beaten them this season, Libby, comes to Browning Saturday night.

Congratulations to our KSEN/K96—Bozeman Trophy Athlete’s of the Week, So. Peyton Levine of Augusta and So. Maurice Redhorn 111 of Browning.  The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank.  McDonald’s honors our Athlete’s of the Week with two free value meals each.
