KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week
(Conrad) – Either there was a lot of stored up energy or just a lot of practice time. Whatever the case, So. Taylor Evans of Conrad was certainly ready to go once she had a chance to compete. Our KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week opened up the Track & Field season with 46 points and a team Championship for the Conrad Cowgirls.
Evans started off with victories in the sprints winning the 100m and 200m at the Choteau Invitational last weekend. Taylor had also won the 100m at the opening Cut Bank Booster Invitational three weeks ago.
She came back and set a personal best in the 400m at 1:08 to finish third. There was also great success in the field events with a 1st place finish in the Triple Jump and a 1st place finish in the Long Jump.
As a Freshman a year ago, Evans finished 9th in the 100m and the 200m at the State Track meet.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96 Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, So. Taylor Evans of Conrad. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald’s in Cut Bank. McDonald’s honors our athlete’s with two free value meals each.
A reminder that our Athlete of the Year Banquet is next Wed. May 4th at the Marias Valley Golf Course. Reservations for the banquet are due to KSEN by Fri. April 29th.
