KSEN/KZIN Athlete of the Week
Our KSEN/K96 - Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week came up big in critical matchups on the court and on the field.
Our Male Athlete of the Week has been a key part of the success for the Conrad Cowboys all season long and Conrad is now playoff bound in Missoula this coming weekend. Cowboys' Jr. receiver Carsen Sullivan had plenty of nominations pour in after his performance in a key conference win over Cut Bank Friday night 38-20. In the end, Carsen grabbed 8 receptions for approximately 121 yards, a 15-yards per catch average. He really rose up on defense, grabbing two interceptions and returning one of those approximately 75 yards for a pick six. One of Carsen's nominators said he has shown a consistent ability to perform under pressure and a strong work ethic.
We also had nominations for Cooper Streit of the CJI Hawks who ran for 4 Touchdowns in CJI's win over Big Sandy and Nathan Gunderson who had over 200 yards in combined receiving and rushing with 5 Touchdowns in Choteau's runaway win over Harlem.
Our Female Athlete of the Week has been here before and very deserving as she finished strong for the Hawks in a win over Big Sandy, guaranteeing them 2nd place in the 7C district. Sr. hitter Jayla Ramberg was huge in the 3-1 victory over top ranked Big Sandy. In the match she knocked down 17 kills, had 4 blocks and 3 aces. In a 2nd match against North Star, Jayla put down 22 kills, with 3 aces and 5 blocks. Head Coach Jordan Miller said, "she has been a great Sr. leader this year and a starter since she was a freshman." "She has turned into an amazing athlete."
We also had nominations for Sr. Adele Lamb of Shelby, coming off a knee injury with 13 kills and 15 digs against Cut Bank. Sr. Jaycee Luse of Cut Bank with 11 kills and 2 aces in a Cut Bank win over Fort Benton.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96 - Bozeman Trophy Athletes of the Week, Jr Carsen Sullivan of the Conrad Cowboys and Sr. Jayla Ramberg of the CJI Hawks.
