Our KSEN/K96 -- Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week seems to be setting a tone this season, with his 2nd award midway through the season.
CJI Head Coach Jim Vinson says his Jr. Running Back, Levi Nelson, "had an amazing game against a very good team." The compact-sized running back with great speed, carried the ball 29 times for 298 yards and 5 Touchdown's.  Levi caught two passes for 27 yards, and he was an animal on defense with 13 tackles.  One of those tackles for a loss. The performance came in a game against a very good team.  Coach Vinson says the Burlington team is the #1 ranked 6-man team in Wyoming.  The game went back and forth throughout with CJI coming up with the 48-44 victory and their 3rd win of the season.
We had no other nominations this week, but personally I considered Jr. slot, and defensive end, Colin Chambers of Conrad.  Chambers was a solid tackler on defense and scored the Cowboys only offensive Touchdown in the 3rd quarter on a great catch from Quarterback Caleb Walter. Chambers also scored the 1st Touchdown on the opening kickoff after Wolf Point fumbled and Chambers was there to cover it in the end zone.
Congratulations to our KSEN/K96-- Bozeman Trophy Athlete of the Week, CJI Jr. Levi Nelson of the CJI Hawks. The Athlete of the Week is sponsored locally by McDonald's in Cut Bank.
