The Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) shared the latest update on Trooper Lewis Johnson's recovery.

Trooper Johnson was critically injured back in February after a criminal suspect ran him over with a vehicle during a pursuit. Trooper Johnson received initial care at Logan Health in Kalispell, before receiving a hero's send off for additional care in Colorado.

MHP: He is settling in at Craig Hospital in Colorado. His medical status continues to stabilize, and he completed treatment for the medical complications related to his chest wall injuries. Trooper Johnson now has less pain and has been able to focus more on his recovery and rehabilitation related to the injuries sustained in this incident. He has also started to use a manual wheelchair for mobility.
