MT Hunters Face NEW Regulations

Golden Triangle hunters should make sure to read through the NEW regulations BEFORE applying for permits & licenses this spring. The 1st application deadline for deer & elks permits is April 1st. The Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission approved hunting regulations for the 2022/23 hunting seasons during it February 4th meeting. All final regulations approved at the meeting will go into effect when the new license year commences the 1st of March. Hunters are also encouraged to pay close attention to the MyFWP app, & also keep in mind bull permits limiting hunters to ONLY the district from which they're drawn. The new regulations booklets for moose, sheep, mountain goat, bison, deer, elk & antelope are available online at fwp.mt.gov/hunt/regulations.
