Each year the Montana Red Cross collects more than 40,000 units of lifesaving blood at about 2,000 blood drives across the Treasure State. Each day, the Red Cross collects needs to collects approximately 13,000 blood donations nationwide to meet the needs of patients at around 2,5000 hospitals & transfusion centers across the country. Here in Montana, someone needs blood about once every 27 minutes! The American Red Cross, will be here in Shelby, this Thursday. Their Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled for Thursday afternoon over at the Shelby Civic Center. Donation hours will be from noon until 6. If you can, why not give the "Gift of Life." Walk-ins are always welcome.
