We have only 14 pages to go in Rick Sterry's "Blizzard Of '32" our current Montana History book up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. In my opinion, ONE of the BEST we've ever enjoyed during Montana History on Tuesday evening's. When we're done having fun with the "Blizzard Book", I intend to share another Montana History book...this one's authored by Russell B. Crites. Mr. Crites has penned a Montana tale that takes place in the late 1920's. His tome is "The Long Awakening". Prohibition is in full swing, but drinking & pool halls were a way of life. Meet Ray Frost, the protagonist... Frost is a homesteader in this barren windswept land & is struggling with the problems of his lonely life. We'll glimpse life in Northern Montana, the Hi-Line with Ray & Geraldine, his mail order bride. It promises to be a journey with barn dances, rodeos, blizzards, pool halls, Indians, pow wows, along with desperation, tragedy & insight. I'll see you tonight at 6 o'clock SHARP at the Heritage Center as we finish "Blizzard of 32" & move to "The Long Awakening.". And Rick Sterry, Thank YOU for a wonderful read!  Hope you all get a chance to check out Sterry's "Blizzard Of '32"...you won't be disappointed, it's a page turner for sure.
