The 2nd Annual Pig Wrestling Champions at the 4-County Marias Fair included one team that figured they didn't have much of a chance and another that had been planning their strategy all year long.

In the men's division of the main event, last year's champions from Liberty County drew 13-hundred dollars in the Calcutta auction, but when the entered the ring first, they failed to even post a time.  That left the field wide open and the team of Shelby H.S. boys responded.  The team of Ron Kinyon, Ryan Clark, Tim Stumpf & Thane McCracken put their pig in the barrel in just over 11-seconds.  Listen to what they had to say about the victory.

In the women's division it came down to the last 3 groups before anyone even posted a qualifying time.  Then there were two in a row and the team pictured below, Bridget Larson, Nana Flesch, Nita Tomsheck & Tracy Culdenberg (apologize for order & spelling if it's wrong) put the pig in the barrel in 25-seconds and never once fell in the mud.  They got muddy when another team tackled them after they got the job done.
