Poverty Hardship & Abuse
Now that I brightened up your day...I'll be reading "The-Story-Behind-The Story & MORE tonight (Tuesday) up at the Marias Heritage Center here in Shelby. We're currently reading & enjoying "When Montana and I Were Young; A Frontier Childhood" from University of Nebraska Press. In the book, young Margaret (Peggy) Bell displays a dignity & resourcefulness that rank her among even fictitious literary heroines. Indeed, her very survival was amazing! Both riveting & important, this book is a valuable addition to frontier narratives, & I'm pleased to be sharing more of the book this evening at 6 o'clock for more Montana History up at the Heritage.
