The American Red Cross, has declared a blood CRISIS for only the second time in their 145-year history! According to the Red Cross, "Blood donations have dropped to a 4 year low, causing this emergency shortage & threatening patient care. "Some" elective surgeries are being postponed due to the shortage. We CAN do something about it this Monday, the 17th. There'll be a Red Cross Blood Drive, this Monday afternoon from 1 to 6, at the Valier Civic Center. You can register online at redcrossblood.org, or call 800 RED CROSS. The AABB Interorganizational Task Force on Domestic Disasters & Acts of Terrorism teamed up with blood banks to issue an URGENT appeal this past July 24th, for donors. "IF" you can, please plan on donating the Gift of Life, this Monday afternoon at the Valier Civic Center.
