Philip Aaberg 1949 – 2026

Our friend Phil Aaberg, passed away on Saturday, May 23rd. The family will be holding an open house celebration of Phil, two weeks from this weekend, on Saturday, August 22nd. The celebration for Phil, will be in the Aaberg back yard at 1355 Mill Road, in Helena from 2 until 9. You all are invited to stop by & visit on Saturday, the 22nd, & musicians are more than welcome to bring along their instruments & play a tune. In fact, the family's compiling a collection of photos & videos, articles & remembrances of Phil. Projects that Phil had in the works are in the process of being released by Sweetgrass Music, & by having others create his Phil's studio will honor his legacy. The open celebration's Saturday, the 22nd, at 1355 Mill Road, in Helena, & don't worry about a thing...it's going to happen rain or shine, & they'll have tents for shade. Unfortunately, I didn't know Phil, very well but we talked & emailed a time or two. It was my pleasure to meet & see Phil, at two of his concerts through the years, & it's a memory I will always treasure. I was very blessed. Hope to see you the 22nd, at the open house celebration of a great, great musical talent & a really good person.
