BOZEMAN — Sixteen Montana State University Bobcats will travel to Casper, Wyoming, this week to compete in the College National Finals Rodeo. Competition is scheduled for June 15-21 at the Ford Wyoming Center, and the complete schedule is available HERE.

The Bobcats, Big Sky Region champions on both the men’s and women’s teams for the second straight year, will send nine men and seven women to the CNFR to compete in saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing and goat tying.

Last year, the Bobcat women finished fourth in the nation, while the men finished 11th. MSU student-athletes advancing to the CNFR are:

Men

  • Holden Atkinson – bull riding, all-around.
  • Monte Bailey – saddle bronc riding.
  • Cole Detton – steer wrestling.
  • Mitch Detton – steer wrestling, tie-down roping.
  • Cole Gerhardt – bareback riding, steer wrestling.
  • Wyatt Jensen – tie-down roping, team roping, all-around.
  • Mike Nannini – steer wrestling.
  • Wes Shaw – bareback riding, steer wrestling.
  • Hayden Taylor – team roping.

Women

  • Sydney Berquist – breakaway roping.
  • Shantell Brewer – barrel racing.
  • Faith Marshall – goat tying.
  • Michaela McCormick – breakaway roping, goat tying, all-around.
  • Anneliese McCurry – barrel racing.
  • Ella Moedl – breakaway roping.
  • Haven Wolstein – breakaway roping, goat tying, all-around.
