KALISPELL, MONTANA – Due to increased fire activity within the Great Bear Wilderness area, which includes the Sheep and Granite Fires, the Flathead National Forest has made the determination to increase the existing closure associated with the Thompson-Divide Complex.

The closure includes all Flathead National Forest land south of US Highway 2 from Pinnacle to Marias Pass, including the entire Great Bear Wilderness south of Mount Grant to the Spotted Bear Ranger District Boundary and the entire Skyland- Challenge area adjacent to the Lewis and Clark National Forest.
