I don't know how to officially answer that question but having known Jim O'Day for many years including during his time at the Western Breeze in Cut Bank, I can't imagine wanting to fire him for anything.   It does, however seem that somebody always has to take the fall for a looming problem...

KSEN received information that Jim O'Day and Robin Pflugrad had been released as of 8:00am this morning. Apparently, the University of Montana has fired athletic director, Jim O'Day and head football coach Robin Pflugrad.
