Wolf numbers in Montana remained healthy in 2016 and more than three times the federally-mandated minimums. Montana’s annual wolf report shows a minimum of 477 wolves were counted for 2016. This is down from 536 wolves counted in 2015, but doesn’t necessarily reflect a reduction in wolf numbers, but rather a reduction in counting effort.  Included in this number is a minimum number of 50 breeding

The District 1B Track Meet was held at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls on Saturday and Choteau and Cut Bank came away winners. The Choteau Bulldogs team racked up 166 points to lead the pack with Fairfield 129; Shelby 94 Conrad 77; Cut Bank 6 and Rocky 1 rounding out the field...
